For those who fancy a dash of enchantment, Glinda and Elphaba will be on hand for a wicked photo op from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., while Choo Choo the Magician will enchant audiences with a live bunny at his magic show, scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Some ticketed events will require pre-event action, the Enchanted Library starts at 1700 Keller Springs Road and offers a chance to dive into interactive experiences; trivia challenges hosted by the Library’s Teen Advisory Council are a test to any fantasy aficionado's knowledge, there’s a role-playing game where teens and adults can attempt a daring honey heist dressed as bears, and a local artist is set to teach dragon sketching in two different sessions. Attendees are encouraged to don costumes echoing their favorite fantasy characters for a truly immersive experience.
According to the City of Carrollton website, Youth Services Librarian Melissa Neybert expressed that "Enchanted Library is a celebration of everything that is magical and fantastical for all ages." Further accentuating the unique charm of the event, audience members will find it to be sensory-friendly, complete with coloring, sensory toys, and noise-cancelling headphones for those needing a quiet space.
