Casa Grande residents are encouraged to submit their ballots for Proposition 496, a bond measure focused on improving city parks and recreation facilities. According to the City of Casa Grande’s official website, the proposal would fund a new aquatic center, upgrades to parks and sports fields, and improvements to accessibility features. Ballots were due by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, yesterday, at the Pinal County Casa Grande Recorder’s Office on East Cottonwood Lane.
The registration for the 2025 Electric Light Parade was closed yesterday. The parade is a long-standing holiday event featuring illuminated displays. In addition, the Casa Grande Community Recreation Center introduced a new group fitness schedule, including a weekly guided meditation class every Wednesday morning.
Children ages 7–13 have until Saturday next week to register for the city’s basketball season, which promotes skill development and teamwork. Community funding has helped maintain these programs in line with local recreational interests.
Pickleball remains popular in Casa Grande, with organized play available at Dave White Park. The program includes men’s, women’s, and mixed leagues, along with open play sessions, at a $25 participation fee for both residents and non-residents.
