In Cedar Hill, fostering community trust and understanding takes more than just day-to-day patrol duties. The Cedar Hill Police Department recently celebrated the graduation of 22 community members from its Citizen's Police Academy, marking the largest class to complete the program to date. It's a course designed to educate residents about various aspects of law enforcement and enhance the relationship between the community and the police force.
The participants invested significant time into learning the complexities of police work, a commitment that was proudly acknowledged by the department on their social media platforms. "Proud to highlight the incredible work of our Police and Community Team, led by Sgt. Novian and Cpl. Breckenridge! 22 community members completed the Citizen’s Police Academy, the largest class ever," the Cedar Hill Police Department declared on Facebook. The emphasis is firmly placed on the concepts of safety, trust, and ongoing partnership in maintaining harmonious neighborhood dynamics.
Upon completion of the program, graduates often speak of a newfound appreciation for the rigors of law enforcement. "Their dedication to safety, trust, and partnership makes a real difference in our neighborhoods every day," the Cedar Hill Police Department said, recognizing the learners who now have a more nuanced grasp of the principles and practices of their local police force.
