Early this morning, a cement truck became the centerpiece of a roadway mishap along Sacramento's 47th Avenue, complicating the morning commute for drivers. According to CBS Sacramento, the incident occurred just west of Stockton Boulevard shortly after 5:30 a.m., spilling its contents onto the street.
The driver, while not suffering serious injuries, was part of a scene that saw no other vehicles involved, a detail confirmed by the Sacramento Police. Lanes on the arterial thoroughfare remained obstructed while authorities and cleanup crews grappled with not only with the scattered cement but also an ensuing leak of hydraulic fluid from the hulking vehicle.
Meanwhile, FOX40 pinpointed the time of the overturn at around 5:40 a.m., throwing a wrench into the flow of traffic near Stockton and 47th. As commuters dealt with detours, the Sacramento Police Department called in a heavy-duty tow to remove the disabled cement truck.
