Dave Chappelle is set to christen the new Punch Line comedy club in Irving with a two-night stand on Dec. 17 and 18, turning the opening weekend at Toyota Music Factory into a high-wattage event. The run doubles as the club’s grand debut in North Texas and a statement of intent, with Chappelle’s tickets carrying a premium price tag while regular club nights will stick to more traditional comedy-club pricing.
According to KERA News, Amanda Kyser, head of operations at Punch Line Comedy Clubs, called Chappelle “an old friend of Punch Line” and noted that he has helped launch other locations for the chain. KERA reports that Chappelle previously opened Punch Line venues in Philadelphia in 2016 and Houston in 2024, and that the Irving outpost is expected to host more than 350 shows a year. The opening announcement, published Tuesday, also links directly to ticket pages for the December dates.
Inside the New Punch Line Irving
Punch Line Irving lists the club as a 240-seat room with a bar called Callback, an outdoor patio, and an “elevated” food and drink lineup. The venue’s “Visit” page outlines accessibility services, box-office hours, and house rules, including a two-drink minimum. The club sits inside the Toyota Music Factory complex in Las Colinas, putting it squarely in the middle of one of the area’s busiest entertainment hubs.
Tickets and Opening Weekend
Tickets for Chappelle’s shows go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 19, and will be available through the club’s site and Ticketmaster, per KERA News. The outlet reports that general-admission seats for Chappelle are priced at $250, while most Punch Line shows typically land in the $25 to $35 range. Multiple set times are scheduled across both nights to make the most of the intimate, 240-seat layout.
What It Means for the D-FW Comedy Scene
Local coverage has framed Punch Line’s arrival as a boost for the Dallas-Fort Worth comedy ecosystem, giving touring comics a mid-size, intimate stop and creating more stage time for up-and-coming local performers, as noted by CultureMap Dallas. Operators say they want the club to function as a “home” base for comics and a place where fans can catch big names up close, long before those acts graduate to arenas. For fans who live for low-capacity, high-energy rooms, Punch Line adds one more option to the cluster of venues around Toyota Music Factory.
Early bookings already include Leslie Jones, Andy Huggins, and Steph Tolev, with more dates promised on a rolling basis. The latest schedule and ticket details are listed on Punch Line Irving. Anyone hoping to grab a seat for Chappelle’s opening shows will want to mark that Nov. 19 on-sale date now and be ready to move fast.
