Charlotte County drivers, take note: Midway Boulevard is going under the knife for a bit of an electrical facelift courtesy of BTR USA. The stretch between Alton Road and Orlando Boulevard is slated for intermittent lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting tomorrow through Friday, and once more next Monday.
"The Public Works Department reminds motorists to remain alert at all times and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of construction zones.s," was the mantra echoed in a statement from the county. It's common sense advice really, but let's face it, the cones and crews are going to toss a wrench into your routine commute. So mark your calendars and maybe look into carving out a more scenic detour on those days.
