Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources will host its seventh annual Holiday in the Park on December 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Northwest District Park, 2413 Woody Store Road, Siler City. The free event will feature activities such as photos with Santa and holiday-themed crafts for families to enjoy.
According to Chatam Chounty, the event will begin with a tree lighting ceremony near the park’s pond at 5:15 p.m., followed by activities including hot drinks and cookies, a station for writing letters to Santa, and the Holiday Art Market. According to Tracy Burnett, Director of Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources, the market returns this year with 20 vendors offering handmade items suitable for holiday gifts.
The department notes that craft vendor spaces are still available at no cost, though spots are limited. Artisans interested in participating can contact Leigh Babcock, Arts and Cultural Resources Program Supervisor, at [email protected] to reserve a space.
