A traffic stop in Citrus Heights led to the discovery of an unregistered 9mm handgun and an unserialized .357 revolver, amid other contraband, according to a post by the local Police Department. The stop revealed that the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

During the course of the traffic stop, officers reportedly decided to conduct a further search of the vehicle. They located a loaded 9mm handgun equipped with a high-capacity magazine, as well as a .357 revolver without a serial number, both of which are serious violations in California, as reported by the Citrus Heights Police Department.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, the driver was found to possess two bags of ammunition. A subsequent records check revealed the driver had a past felony conviction, which elevates concerns around the possession of such firearms. The arrested individual was booked into the county jail.
