The polls for the yesterday's Special Election in Clackamas County officially closed at 8 p.m. Voters in Gladstone, Happy Valley, Portland, the Sandy Fire District, and several school districts participated in local ballot measures and races specific to their areas.
According to Clackamas County, voter service centers at the Happy Valley Library and the Clackamas County Elections Office provided assistance, including ballot replacement, registration updates, accessibility support, and language assistance. These centers were staffed by sworn election officials to ensure proper voter support.
A total of 22 official ballot drop sites were available across the county, with drive-up options clearly marked. Voters were encouraged to hand-deliver their ballots to avoid mail delays or, if mailing, to have their envelopes hand-stamped at a post office counter to confirm the postmark.
Unofficial election results were scheduled to be released shortly after polls closed, with updates to follow in the coming days. Final official results are expected to be certified on December 1.
