The Clark County Education Association, which represents teachers in Nevada, has endorsed Republican Governor Joe Lombardo for the 2026 election. This is a change from 2022, when the Clark County Education Association did not endorse a candidate. In the past, the group supported Democratic candidates, including Bernie Sanders in 2020 and Kamala Harris in 2024, as reported by The Nevada Independent.
"Working with CCEA has been a true partnership and he has earned to be elected for a second term in 2026," Neisess said. She cited the $2.5 billion K-12 funding increase, teacher pay improvements, and better school accountability, according to News 3 LV.
Lombardo said, "I look forward to continuing our fight for safer schools, greater accountability, and unprecedented student success together," as per News 3 LV. President Trump also gave his "Complete and Total Endorsement," while the Nevada State Education Association endorsed Democrat Aaron Ford, as mentioned by The Nevada Independent.
