Contributions from this food drive are destined to support The Heights Libraries through their 'community fridge' program, which aims to provide both food and household necessities to youths and seniors. Items deemed suitable for donation include non-perishable soups, canned meats, and a selection of grains like beans and cereals. A breadth of household goods and toiletry items are also encouraged, responding specifically to requests from community seniors and teens. Folks looking to contribute beyond the kickoff can easily do so during additional drop-off hours available on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, in the atrium on the main level of City Hall.
