In a heartfelt message to the residents of the Centennial State, Colorado's Governor Jared Polis and Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera extended warm Thanksgiving wishes, invoking the spirit of gratitude and community support. The gubernatorial duo called for a celebration that not only focuses on personal thankfulness, but also on the upliftment of those who face hardship within Colorado's diverse communities.
“Happy Thanksgiving Colorado! I wish every family a day full of joy, gratitude, and laughter tomorrow, this is a time for us to celebrate what we are thankful for with those who mean the most to us, Thanksgiving is also a time to give back to our community,” Governor Polis said, as per Colorado Governor's Office, highlighting the importance of communal support and the giving spirit of the holiday. Polis, who recently made headlines for his hands-on approach to community involvement, has exemplified this spirit through his volunteer work and contributions to the Village Exchange Center, a local community support organization.
The Lieutenant Governor echoed the Governor's sentiments, emphasizing the dual nature of the holiday as a time for both giving thanks and reaching out to those in need. “I am pleased to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving is a great time to come together and spend time with loved ones, take part in the season of giving and give thanks,” Lt. Governor Primavera commented, as obtained by the Colorado Governor's Office. She underscored the importance of community involvement and the significance of remembering those who may be dealing with loss or absence during the holiday season.
