Houston police say the shooting unfolded at The Gael apartments on Essex Lane inside the West Loop, where officers found a person with multiple gunshot wounds. The wounded individual was rushed to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead, as reported by KHOU.

According to KHOU, officers arrived around 10:15 a.m. and discovered the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds inside the complex. Investigators told the station the shooting happened during a robbery at the property. No other injuries were reported at the scene, and the person who was shot was taken by first responders to an area hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
