A Detroit woman found a five-and-a-half- to six-foot alligator in her recently deceased son's bedroom on Tuesday, after burying him over the weekend. She called Animal Magic, and owner Mark Rosenthal removed the alligator from a six-foot aquarium in "horrible" conditions, with no proper space, water, light, or heat, according to ClickOnDetroit.
A woman in the Grand River and 7 Mile area found an alligator in her home. It is unclear how the alligator got there. Animal Magic shared a video update on the alligator’s condition after it was rescued, which the public can watch, as per Fox2Detroit.
TheMetroDetroitNews reported that the woman could not enter the room until Animal Magic handled the alligator. Mark Rosenthal, who has been working with exotic animals since 1980, runs Animal Magic, which rescues animals and teaches the public about caring for exotic pets.
