
A school bus collision in Phoenix has led to the hospitalization of a driver, though thankfully no serious injuries among the students were reported following the Tuesday morning incident. According to Arizona's Family, the crash occurred near the crossroads of 16th Street and Glendale Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
At the time of the collision, 68 students were aboard the bus with six reporting minor complaints, although none warranted hospital transport while, the driver of the SUV involved, found themselves in a more dire situation having been rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The Phoenix Fire Department relayed that the children were assessed at the scene and the information swiftly communicated to their parents, the Fire Department detailed that despite the driver's initial critical condition, that individual's status was later upgraded to stable, FOX 10 Phoenix reports.
The students and their instructors were from a Catholic elementary school and were riding a bus from Saints Simon & Jude Cathedral School. They were on their way to an educational trip at iFLY Indoor Skydiving in Scottsdale when the crash suddenly stopped their plans. Authorities are still investigating what caused the collision and have not released any conclusions yet, as per FOX 10 Phoenix.
