
Last night, a fatal crash occurred on Stony Point Road involving a single vehicle and a DUI suspect. The incident, involving a Chevrolet Tahoe that went off the road and struck a tree, resulted in the death of a male passenger and major injuries to the female driver. According to the CHP Santa Rosa, the accident occurred south of West Sierra Avenue at approximately 11:25 PM.
The unidentified male passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries, described as non-life-threatening by authorities. Under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, the driver has been placed under arrest, pending transport to Sonoma County Jail after her release from medical care.
