
Duncanville's streets are set to be decked out in twinkling lights and holiday spirit as the city prepares for its upcoming Holiday Lights Parade. In a recent announcement detailed on the city's official website, residents and visitors are advised to prepare for temporary road closures that will make way for the festive procession.
On Friday, December 5, from roughly 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the parade will briefly disrupt the regular flow of traffic along its route. Starting at Freeman Road and then moving east along Wheatland Road, turning south onto Main Street, the parade will eventually make its merry way to a conclusion on Center Street. To access the specifics of the route, spectators and participants alike can view a map provided by the City of Duncanville.
Duncanville officials are ensuring the safety of parade-goers and participants with barricades set to block intersecting side streets and maintain the safety of the parade's pathway. During the event, Wheatland Road will be closed between Freeman Road. and Main Street, and Main Street will be closed from Wheatland Road to Center.
