Dunwoody is preparing for the holiday season with a lineup of community events and activities through a new initiative called Holiday Headquarters, organized by the City of Dunwoody, Discover Dunwoody, and Create Dunwoody. According to the City of Dunwoody’s announcement, the program aims to bring residents and visitors together through festive events across the city.

The celebrations begin with Light Up Dunwoody on Sunday next week at its new venue, Donaldson-Bannister Farm, featuring reindeer, dance performances, and family activities. The following weekend, the Holiday Celebration and Lantern Parade will take place on November 23 in Dunwoody Village, offering live entertainment, crafts, and a lantern parade.

A new addition this year is High Street Skate, an outdoor ice-skating experience at The Green at High Street running from November 23 to January 19. Visitors can enjoy skating under the lights and seasonal refreshments.

From December 2 to 31, Brook Run Park will feature more than 100,000 holiday lights for evening strolls, organized by Dunwoody Parks and Recreation. Additional decorations, including lighted snowflakes and Holiday HQ banners, will appear throughout Dunwoody Village, Georgetown, and major commercial areas such as Winters Chapel, Jett Ferry, and Perimeter.

Create Dunwoody will also host community art and cultural events during the season. Information about all events, schedules, and registration links is available on www.holidayheadquarters.com, along with a holiday playlist created by Discover Dunwoody.
