Scheduled for Saturday, November 8, the event requires significant road closures that will affect morning commuters and local traffic.
As announced in a social media post by the City of Elyria, Ohio, the marathon commencing at the break of dawn necessitates the temporary shutdown of various corridors. Starting at approximately 5:00 a.m., routes, inclusive but not restricted to Middle Avenue – from 16th Street to Broad Street, and Broad Street – stretching from Court Street to East Avenue, shall be sealed off to regular traffic. Additionally, Washington Avenue is to join the list, from Broad Street to Hamilton Street. It's advisable for residents and visitors alike to sketch out detours, as traversing the city will be limited until 11:00 a.m.
