
A father and his son have faced the law after a suspected illegal street race claimed the lives of two individuals in Lakewood. Gregory Mark Giles, 65, and his son Bryce Anneaus Giles, 26, reportedly turned themselves in to the Lakewood Police Department this past Monday, as per the Denver Post. The November 13 collision occurred near South Kipling Parkway and West Mississippi Avenue, leading to a tragic multi-vehicle accident.
The crash, which took place around 9:07 p.m., resulted in five hospitalizations. Unfortunately, two victims, Demi Iglesias, 26, and Dalton Smith, 28, succumbed to their injuries following the incident. Authorities, after conducting interviews and gathering evidence, have cited an illegal race between the Giles as the catalyst for the devastating event, according to 9News.
