Montgomery County residents have a chance to provide input on the Fiscal Year 2027 Operating Budget through a series of "Community Conversations" hosted by County Executive Marc Elrich. The final session will be held on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Soldiers Great Hall, Silver Spring Civic Building, with options to attend in person or virtually, according to the Montgomery County.
County Executive Elrich emphasized the importance of participation, saying, "I urge every resident to participate in these discussions; your feedback shapes our future." Feedback from these sessions will inform a recommended budget submitted to the County Council by March 16, 2026, with a final budget expected to be adopted by June 1, 2026, and take effect on July 1, 2026, as reported by the Montgomery County.
Residents can join the event online through the Civic Center link in their invitation. The event will also be livestreamed on County Cable Montgomery, Montgomery College Television, Montgomery County Public School TV, Montgomery Community Media, Montgomery Municipal Channel, and Takoma Park City TV. Requests for interpreters or other services should be made at least three business days in advance. For help, contact Mark Roper at 240-962-1743 or [email protected]. TTY users can use Maryland Relay 711, as stated by the Montgomery County.
