
On Sunday, a shooting on the 2300 block of Bladensburg Road NE in Northeast D.C. left five people wounded, including three men and two women, all transported to a nearby hospital in a state described as "conscious and breathing." Metropolitan Police Department officers responded around 1:48 a.m., and the fifth district is investigating the motive behind the outdoor incident, according to NBC Washington.
A gold sedan was seen leaving the scene and is now a key focus of the investigation, with detectives actively searching for the vehicle, as reported by WUSA 9. Authorities have not yet determined whether a lone gunman or multiple shooters were involved in the attack.
A shooting occurred on Bladensburg Road NE, and the Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public for any information that could help with the investigation. A local resident said, "This is something that happens frequently — shots around here all the time," and added, "I hope to see that they close the club down. And I speak for a lot of people in the community," referring to a nearby nightclub, as per FOX 5 DC. Fifth District detectives are continuing to investigate and track a suspect in a gold sedan.
