Fort Collins shoppers and holiday merrymakers are in for a treat this season as the city rolls out free parking on Saturdays and city holidays in all downtown garages. Kicking off on November 29, the convenience extends through to January 3, 2026, inviting locals to revel in downtown's festive offerings without the usual parking fare hanging over their heads.
This year, the standard free Sunday parking is complemented by added days of reprieve for those partaking in holiday celebrations or supporting downtown businesses. Eric Keselburg, the city’s Parking Services Senior Manager, sees this move as a boon for community spirit, as he shared in a recent announcement, “This is a great opportunity for the community to support local businesses while enjoying the festive downtown atmosphere,” as per the City of Fort Collins. He expresses hopes that this initiative will ease the way for everyone to partake in the downtown holiday cheer.
Those planning their festive tours can park gratis at the Firehouse Alley Parking Garage, Old Town Parking Garage, and the Civic Center Parking Garage. Specific dates to mark on your calendars for complimentary parking aside from Saturdays include Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28), the Day After Thanksgiving (Nov. 29), Christmas Day (Dec. 25), and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1, 2026).
