Parents in the community looking for a constructive way to keep their kids engaged during the Thanksgiving school break have a local resource to consider. The community centers across the city are gearing up to host a Thanksgiving Break Camp for children aged 5-13, from Nov. 24-26. The camp will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing a day-long haven for kids to take part in recreational, educational, and cultural activities.
Those interested in signing up their children can benefit from the flexibility of choosing specific days. Pre-registration comes with a cost of $15 per day, an affordable option for families. On the other hand, the price increases to $20 per day once camp begins, still a relatively low barrier for admission. Parents can register their children using a credit card or electronic check, but registration is mandatory before children can attend the camp.
According to the City of Fort Worth, the Thanksgiving Break Camp will be hosted at various community centers throughout the city. These include Andrew Doc Session, Betsy Price, Chisholm Trail, Como, Diamond Hill, Eugene McCray, Fire Station, Greenbriar, Handley Meadowbrook, Highland Hills, ACJCC@Hillside, Martin Luther King, North Tri Ethnic, Northside, R.D. Evans, Riverside, Southside, Southwest, Thomas Place, Victory Forest, and Worth Heights.
