The dredging project that has rejuvenated the ponds at Foster Park is now complete, with an official celebration in the works this Friday. District 3 Councilmember Michael D. Crain teamed up with the Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department to get this project finished ahead of schedule, and now it's time to party at the newly spruced-up park.
The big event, dubbed Party in the Park, is scheduled for Nov. 7 from 4-6 p.m. It promises an afternoon bursting with festivities, including live music, a spread of local food trucks, and even an Arbor Day tree planting to keep that green vibe going, according to the City of Fort Worth's announcement. There will be a brief ceremony at 4:30 p.m. to officially mark the project's completion, giving the people a moment to reflect on the work done to preserve the park's natural beauty.
