The three other suspects, Herman Williams III, Alfred Lucious, and Ahmon Hogg have also been charged with murder and their cases are being dealt with in the 339th, 262nd, and 488th Criminal District Courts, respectively. Williams III is taking on an additional charge of tampering with evidence.

After the shooting on the early morning of June 7, responders found the victim inside a business, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Although paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived quickly on the scene, White was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival. Initially, Williams III, Lucious, and Hogg were identified as suspects and subsequently charged. Williams III and Lucious are currently held in Harris County jail, while Hogg is in federal custody, all for unrelated charges. Tardy, the latest suspect to be arrested, was taken into custody by the HPD Midwest Division Crime Suppression Team, as reported by th City of Houston.

The investigation that followed involved rigorous work by the HPD Homicide Division's Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger. It was through their efforts that Tardy was eventually identified as an additional suspect and brought to answer for her alleged involvement. Tardy, along with the other suspects including Lucious, have all had their booking photos circulated as part of the news release related to this case, as per the City of Houston.
