In a striking display of collaborative law enforcement, the Catawba County Sheriff's Office has reported a massive seizure of narcotics and currency in Granite Falls, North Carolina. Details provided via social media reveal that a multi-agency operation spearheaded by the sheriff's Narcotics Division and incorporating federal agencies has led to the arrest of two individuals on significant drug trafficking charges.
The investigation, which originated with the local sheriff's office in early 2025, gained momentum when an investigator associated with ATF facilitated controlled purchases that prompted federal involvement; October 23 saw ATF agents, along with local sheriff's narcotics investigators, execute a federal search warrant in Granite Falls, resulting in the arrests and the confiscation of roughly 75 kilograms of illicit substances including methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as close to $380,000 in currency, as reported by the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
Kenneth Travis, age 40, of Granite Falls, and Oderia Dante Glaspy, age 48, from Hickory, have been taken into custody facing serious charges related to methamphetamine trafficking and the maintenance of premises for drug distribution purposes; Travis's bond has been set at $1.2 million, Glaspy's at $450,000, both awaiting their next court appearance scheduled for next Thursday in Catawba County District Court.
