Drivers in Greensboro should gear up for some minor delays next week, as road maintenance is on the calendar for a stretch of U.S. 421. According to an announcement from the N.C. Department of Transportation, there will be temporary lane closures on one of the city's main arteries.
The specifics, as laid out by the transportation authority, are straightforward: On Tuesday, both the eastbound and westbound left lanes at mile marker 220, located conveniently by Macy Grove Road, will be out of commission starting at 9 a.m., and, if all goes according to plan, they're expected to be back in business by 11 a.m. – weather permitting, of course, as mentioned by the NCDOT.
