A Gulfport man is facing charges after a violent domestic incident last Friday evening that left his stepfather with multiple stab wounds. FOX 13 News reports, authorities assert that 43-year-old Jorge Polo engaged in a physical confrontation with his 68-year-old stepfather, propelling the older man into a table causing the glass to shatter.
In the ensuing chaos, Polo allegedly utilized shards of the broken glass as crude implements of harm, repeatedly stabbing his stepfather and issuing death threats; this claim is supported by the Gulfport Police Department's account of the incident, around 8:58 p.m., at a residence in the 6300 block of Pasadena Point Boulevard South, Polo’s mother, age 67, fell victim to her son's unrestrained aggression when she tried to intervene and was pushed to the floor, according to WFLA.
The authorities divulged that Polo's rage did not settle with the stabbings; he also attempted to gouge out his stepfather’s eyes with his fingers which brings a harrowing dimension to the night's events.
