
A barn in Hampstead suffered extensive damage following a fire late Tuesday night. As reported by FOX Baltimore, at 9:36 p.m., a blaze tore through the structure at 3600 Falls Road, causing an estimated $200,000 in damages according to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal. The Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department dispatched 65 firefighters to battle the flames, which were contained within an hour of their arrival.
The barn, described as a large heavy timber and wood frame with a sheet metal roof, was reported to have been fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The rapid response and the concerted effort of the fire crew kept the destruction to material and spared human life.
WMAR-2 News additionally confirmed the extensive damage the fire caused, while reiterating that thankfully, no injuries were reported from the scene.
