Henderson has opened its 75th park, Sentiero Park, a 4.8-acre space in the Inspirada community with lighted basketball courts, ramadas, playgrounds, and open turf areas. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 3:30 pm at 2716 Via Napoli, with activities and refreshments for residents, according to the City of Henderson on their Facebook page.
The park is the final addition to Inspirada’s park system and is intended to support outdoor activity and community use. The City of Henderson says the park provides new recreational spaces for families in the area.
Henderson’s Parks & Recreation system has been developed over 70 years. The department was recognized as a Gold Medal Award finalist and ranks among the top 25 U.S. cities in the Trust for Public Land's ParkScore® index. The city has 75 parks, including the newly opened Sentiero Park, providing residents with access to public recreational spaces, as reported by the City of Henderson.
