Thieves struck at a local firearms school last Thursday, leading the Holliston Police Department to spearhead an ongoing investigation into the break-in and theft of weapons. According to a press release issued by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, officers responded to an alarm at Mass Firearms School on Kuniholm Drive on October 30, just past the witching hour, to find the front door shattered and two guns missing.
Surveillance footage recorded three individuals perpetrating the break-in and two entering and navigating the firearms retail store, action caught on camera revealed suspects to be in and out soon before police arrived, although the detailed footage has not led to immediate arrests. Moments after the break, additional support arrived from Ashland Police and a Framingham K-9 unit to confirm the absence of suspects. The prompt arrival of law enforcement ensured that the search was thorough and exhaustive, but they were unable to locate the perpetrators on site.
With the establishment's owners present, it was confirmed that the theft included two semi-automatic rifles. Police have since launched an appeal for public assistance, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward, the suspects fled before police arrival in what has been described as a light-colored sedan, they were seen leaving through the very entry they used to break in.
The investigation remains dynamic, involving multiple agencies like Holliston Police, Massachusetts State Police, the Middlesex District Attorney's office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which continue to probe into the details of the case. Officials are tight-lipped as the inquiry unfolds.
