
Chaos unfolded in The Heights neighborhood of Houston when six theft suspects attempted to evade the police, resulting in the apprehension of four individuals while two remain at large. Amid the pandemonium, a startling discovery was made; the suspects had left a baby in the vehicle. This incident transpired in the 100 block of E. 4th Street, near Heights Blvd, as confirmed by Click2Houston report.
Houston Police were actively investigating a retail theft case, believed to be linked to a Lululemon store heist. Upon conducting the traffic stop, which quickly escalated into a foot pursuit, they managed to quickly apprehend four of the suspects. According to a FOX 26 Houston article, "Four suspects were in custody, two remain at large."
The residual shock of the chase soon gave way to concern as officers discovered a small infant, strapped securely in a child seat, left unattended in the abandoned vehicle. The child was confirmed to be safe and well by police statements. Further efforts were made to ensure an appropriate custodian for the child, with authorities working in conjunction with Child Protective Services to ensure the infant's reunion with a responsible adult, as reported by FOX 26 Houston.
