
An altercation between two delivery drivers escalated into a shooting Wednesday evening in the vicinity of the Houston Heights area, resulting in one driver being hospitalized and another being questioned by police, according to local authorities. As reported by Click2Houston, the incident occurred around 7 p.m. when both contracted drivers, present at a warehouse on the 700 block of Shepherd Drive, drew guns during an argument, which led to the female driver being shot, she managed to get into her car after being shot, drive away, and subsequently call 911. The male driver remained at the site of the shooting and was later taken for questioning by police.
The injured female driver, who suffered a gunshot wound to her leg, was transported to the hospital with expectations of full recovery. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, nor have they provided details about the nature of the argument that sparked the violence, as detailed by a report from FOX 26 Houston.
Officers responded to two scenes related to the violence - at the warehouse parking lot and an intersection where the injured woman ended up calling for emergency services, and following the completion of the investigation, the case will be reviewed by the Harris County District Attorney's Office for potential charges…"After the investigation, Lt. Crowson says the Harris County District Attorney's Office will be contacted for any potential charges," according to an interview obtained by FOX 26 Houston.
