
A theft occurred at a Walmart checkout line. On Tuesday, Constable deputies responded to a theft report at the Walmart on Northwest Freeway and detained a suspect, identified as James Crowe. Law enforcement reported he was involved in skip-scanning at the self-checkout.
According to a social media post, Crowe scanned some items and bypassed others in an attempt to leave the store with goods totaling $220.40. Constable Mark Herman's Office reported that Crowe was apprehended without further incident.
James Crowe was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of theft. His bond was set at $100.00 by County Court 7.
