
Two men have tragically lost their lives in a shooting incident on the west side of Houston last Friday evening. The first deceased man was discovered with gunshot wounds at the front of an apartment complex on the 6300 block of Windswept Lane, as confirmed by the Houston Police Department. Officers were initially called to the area in response to reports of an assaulted, injured man, according to details shared by Click2Houston.
Shortly after attending to the first victim, a second man was found on ground, also suffering from gunshot wounds, along a nearby walking path by the bayou. Authorities conveyed he managed to run to the path before collapsing. Lt. Larry Crowson from the Houston Police Department stated they believe there was some sort of argument between several individuals which escalated, leading to both men being shot, as reported by Click2Houston.
The incident has prompted Houston police to conduct a thorough investigation. As detailed by FOX26 Houston, one of the victims received CPR from officers on the scene until he could be transferred by EMS to an hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. A fight in the walkway of the apartment complex is believed to have been the situation where the shootings of two victims took place.
While the investigation continues, as of yet, suspect information in connection to the deadly shootings has not been released. Additionally, the identities of those who were killed have remained undisclosed by authorities. Local residents have been urged to come forward with any information that could assist in the apprehension of the individuals responsible for this heinous act of violence, details which are still being pieced together by Houston's law enforcement, as mentioned by FOX26 Houston.
