The Houston Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify three individuals wanted for questioning related to the fatal shooting of a teenager identified as Damaurion Dunham, age 17. The incident unfolded in Houston at the 9520 Homestead Road parking lot on Sunday afternoon, around 4 p.m., in an event that appears to have been precipitated by a verbal altercation, as reported by the City of Houston.
According to the information provided by the HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Herrera and P. Michon, and released in a news update by the City of Houston News, the first responders to the scene were Houston patrol officers responding to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Dunham with gunshot wounds. The Houston Fire Department paramedics declared the victim deceased at the scene, and further investigation led to the identification of the three persons of interest, now sought by the police.
The persons of interest have only been described as three black males. Surveillance photos released to the public are part of an effort to obtain leads that could help in solving this crime. Crime Stoppers has been mentioned as one of the channels through which the public could provide valuable information. "Anyone with information on the identities of the persons of interest, or in this case, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS," the City of Houston stated.
