Early Monday morning, a METRO bus was involved in a fatal incident in the southbound HOV lane near West Road on Houston's North Freeway. The crash happened just after 5:30 a.m. in the 10500 block, and the Houston Fire Department confirmed the fatality, according to KHOU.
A male was in the HOV lane when the accident occurred. Officials and emergency responders are on the scene, and the HOV lane from Parramatta to West Road is closed, causing delays for commuters, as reported by ABC13.
METRO bus 5413 was involved in an incident, and all nine passengers were moved to another bus. Passengers from two other delayed buses were also rerouted. The bus operator was taken to the hospital after reporting distress. The scene is still under investigation.
