A woman was fatally shot and her husband wounded during what authorities described as a “disturbance” between the couple early Sunday in northeast Houston. Deputies responding to the 12200 block of West Village Drive, near Highway 69 and Aldine Mail Route Road, found the woman with a gunshot wound and the husband with a laceration. Detectives were called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing, as reported by FOX 26 Houston.
According to FOX 26 Houston, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies at the scene found the woman deceased from a gunshot wound and that her husband remained at the location with a cut. Officials have not released the couple’s names or any suspect description as detectives collect evidence and interview witnesses.
