Collaboration between the White Settlement Police Department and the Fort Worth Police Department proved to be effective after a felony theft suspect attempted to evade capture on foot. According to a social media post by the White Settlement Police Department, the suspect, who originated his flight from Fort Worth's Home Depot, found himself under the pursuit of White Settlement officers after crossing Loop 820. The arrest occurred without a hitch near El Ranchito Restaurant.
The pursuit involved various divisions within the White Settlement Police Department. The success of the arrest not only highlights the day shift patrol's quick response but also demonstrates the role of modern technology in law enforcement, as their drone unit played a pivotal part in tracking the suspect. The White Settlement Police Department thanked the WEST COMM Dispatch Center, detectives, the command staff, and the FWPD West Division for their collaboration on the case.
Such acts of cooperation are a testament to the close working relationships that can exist between neighboring police departments. They showcase the communal commitment to public safety and the lengths to which officers will go to ensure the security of the areas they each serve. The arresting officers took the suspect into custody near the El Ranchito Restaurant, effectively putting an end to the chase that began with a theft at Home Depot.
