The Justin Fire Department has proudly introduced a new addition to its life-saving fleet—a state-of-the-art Ford F550 medic unit. Boasting an electric power system, this advanced emergency vehicle stands at the forefront of modern firefighting technology, promising a brighter future for both the environment and community health by reducing fuel consumption and minimizing hazardous emissions.
With the planned foundation of Fire Station 2, this new medic will be stationed as a sentinel of safety and care. Announced on social media by the Justin Police Department, the unit not only complies with, but also exceeds, the rigorous demands of national ambulance standards. By incorporating a digital alerting system, it sends real-time notifications to navigation applications, causing nearby drivers to be alerted, thus mitigating the risks of high-speed encounters with emergency responders.
The medic's enhanced safety features also extend protectively to its crew. Equipped with a four-camera recording system, the vehicle allows ongoing surveillance to help ensure the security of those who risk their lives for the well-being of others. Moreover, the unit's innovative design integrates a cab monitor, which, while stationed proudly at Fire Station 2, will brandish the "Farmhouse" logo on its back, reflecting a harmonious blend of tradition and progress.
