Kalāheo residents and travelers should note that a portion of Wawae Road will be closed on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for emergency road maintenance. The work, conducted by the Department of Public Works and The Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions, will remove dangerous trees that pose a hazard to the roadway, according to the County of Kauai.
During the closure, traffic will be managed by flaggers, and drivers should plan alternative routes or expect delays. Parking will not be allowed in the work zones, so residents and visitors are advised to park elsewhere in advance, as reported by the County of Kauai.
