In an advisory reminiscent of a recurrent urban headache, Keller Public Safety has issued a traffic alert via social media, warning residents and commuters about persistent traffic signal malfunctions. The troubled intersection of Hwy. 377 and North Tarrant Parkway have been the scene of gridlock, and frustration has been brewing among drivers for the past few days, according to the Keller Public Safety.
"In case you haven’t already experienced the soul-crushing delays at the intersection of Hwy. 377 and North Tarrant Parkway, please be aware that traffic signal issues have been causing problems for a couple of days now," said the post from Keller Public Safety. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has been made aware of the issues, but so far, there has been no word. However, they have not yet provided a timeframe for repair. Commuters have been advised to seek alternative routes or brace themselves for congestion.
The notification posted by Keller Public Safety on November 5th explicitly stated that TxDOT had been notified, although the agency's response remains pending. With vehicular flows at a near-standstill, every second on the road transforms into a minute, and minutes into what seems like eternities of waiting for the freedom to move once again.
