A Keystone Heights man, age 22, was arrested in connection with an investigation into internet crimes against children, as announced by the Clay County Sheriff's Office in Florida. Yesterday morning, November 6, the Sheriff’s Office's SWAT team executed a search warrant at a West Osceola Ct. home in the Keystone Heights area. The situation unfolded without drama—occupants left the house and were detained minus incident.
The individuals from the residence were then interviewed by detectives specialized in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, while the premises were scoured for evidence. It was during this investigation that detectives were able to develop enough probable cause to promptly arrest one Tyler Michael Roberts—who was born on April 5, 2003—for a total of ten counts associated with the possession and the intentional viewing of child sexual abuse material.
This action was part of a larger effort by the local ICAC Unit, supported by agencies including the North Florida INTERCEPT Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). Roberts was booked into the Clay County Jail.
