The City of La Vergne recently held its annual Employee Thanksgiving Luncheon. According to the city’s announcement, employees from multiple departments gathered in the Multipurpose Building to recognize the dedication and service of their colleagues.
The event was led by Human Resources Director Andrew Patton, who thanked employees for their service. City Administrator Bruce Richardson and Assistant City Administrator Kyle Brown also participated in recognizing long-serving city staff. Brown was among the honorees, receiving acknowledgment for his 20-year tenure with the city, presented by Richardson and Mayor Jason Cole.
Several employees were recognized for their years of service, ranging from five to thirty years. Lieutenant Mike Campbell of the Police Department was honored for thirty years of service. Accounts Payable Specialist Becci Steed and Economic Development Administrative Assistant Missy Bartlett were recognized for 25 and 20 years of service, respectively.
The city recognized these milestones as markers of long-term service. Employees were invited to celebrate and acknowledge each other’s contributions, according to Patton’s remarks at the luncheon. The event drew a large turnout, prompting Patton to suggest considering a larger venue for future gatherings.
At the conclusion of the luncheon, city officials thanked the Human Resources team, led by Leah Presley, for organizing the event. Employees were reminded to collect their annual city shirts. The city also noted that, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, city facilities would be closed on Thursday and Friday. The annual luncheon recognized employees for their years of public service and highlighted their contributions to the City of La Vergne.
