The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) issued an alert stating that the crash occurred just before 8 p.m., urging motorists to consider alternate routes.
Details from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, shared by News 3 Las Vegas, confirmed the accident involved injuries, with police first reporting the situation at around 7:30 p.m. The extent of the injuries or the number of vehicles involved was not immediately clear, as investigation into the accident was ongoing.
The temporary shutdown affected southbound lanes on Christy Lane as well, according to the RTC. This prompted the transportation authority to advise commuters to use alternate paths to avoid the area affected by the crash.
