
The Los Angeles Police Department is actively soliciting the community's assistance in identifying potential victims in a sexual assault case involving a man accused of abducting and assaulting a minor in Hollywood, as reported by KTLA.
Arrested on November 6th, David Josue Lopes, 37, who also goes by David Lopez, was identified as the suspect in the case and is currently facing sexual assault charges, said the LAPD, due to the serious and bold character of the offense it is believed that there may be more unidentified victims, they also urge those who have information about Lopes or believe may have been affected to come forward, according to a statement obtained by NBC Los Angeles.
The investigation is ongoing and involves coordination between the LAPD's Juvenile Division–Stuart House Detectives and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Sex Crimes Unit, to aid in identifying additional individuals who might have been victimized by Lopes, a photograph of him has been released and can be viewed on the LAPD PIO Twitter feed.
