Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Michigan State Police, and Southfield Police, were seen at the Willow Pond Condominiums on the 23400 block of Lahser Road near 9 Mile Road early Monday morning. Visible damage to one condo unit was reported, though the reason for the police activity has not been disclosed.
An FBI spokesperson said, "I can confirm that personnel from the FBI in Michigan were present this morning, in Southfield, conducting law enforcement activities." They also added, "At this time, there is no known current threat to public safety," according to FOX 2 Detroit.
Charlie Langton reported for Audacy that, "They are conducting what appears to be a raid, focusing in on one condominium." Media were asked to move back as the search included nearby vehicles. "The FBI, however, won't say what they're looking for," and Michigan State Police were assisting. No arrests or additional details were released about the “law enforcement activities” at Willow Pond Condominiums in Southfield.
