A Largo man is currently behind bars following a sting operation that unearthed evidence of his involvement in child pornography and internet-based child seduction, according to a recent police report. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office announced that their Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) apprehended 26-year-old Daniel Buckbee, after an investigation was initiated in response to a tip about a Discord user targeting a 14-year-old girl for sexual engagement, Buckbee now faces multiple charges including possession of illicit material and utilizing the internet to ensnare a minor.
Through a combination of specialized investigative techniques, detectives were able to gather enough evidence that led to Buckbee's arrest on yesterday. He has been charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Seduction of a Child Using the Internet, as per the Sheriff's Office website.
Buckbee was taken to the Pinellas County Jail without incident and information concerning his address at 10634 Cordova Drive in Largo and date of birth was published alongside the charges he now has to contend with; currently, the investigation continues, hinting at the possibility of more distressing revelations to come.
