After observing a car seemingly attempting to strike a pedestrian and driving hazardously, officers engaged in a pursuit that was later linked to a downtown possible kidnapping report, as reported by News 3 LV. This incident is believed to be tied to domestic violence.
At around 3:07 a.m., the situation escalated when the LVMPD executed a PIT maneuver to safely end the pursuit near Desert Inn Road and Joe W. Brown Drive. As per FOX5 Vegas, the entire sequence of events unfolded quickly, leading to Desert Inn being expected to remain closed for several hours while the investigation continued. Secured at the scene without injuries was a female victim.
During the course of apprehension, officers utilized an electronic control device to subdue and arrest the suspect, as noted by News 3 LV. Meanwhile, an officer incurred minor injuries and was subsequently taken to a local hospital.
